1. The front axle has no drive, possible half shaft broken. 2. The transfer box is giving no drive to rear prop, cause unkown. I thought the disco discovery like all other 4x4's are permament 4 wheelsdrive therfore if the front prop is turning then the rear prop should turn as well. Last edited: Jul 13, 2010.
In Third Gear. Dec 20, 2010. #1. Hi Range Rover 2003 3.0 Vogue,, Diesel has approx 120,000 miles and last week I noticed a cluck when in auto D.. change between probably 2-3 or 3-4 gear at approx 1500 rpm, slow driving 30-35 mph..up or down. When driving 70 mph on the motorway all was good.

Start the engine, step on brake, go through R,N,D,3,2 (don't drive it) a couple of times. Leave engine running. Continue to fill more now. Should get a total of about 5 quarts (more or less) in there total. You will not get all the fluid out of there unless you have someone do a flush.

P0730 is the OBD-II generic code for an incorrect gear ratio detected in an automatic transmission. The ratio of a combination of engine speed and throttle position and the speed of the transmission is used to determine what gear the transmission will use when driving. These other faults appeared at the same time : 1. Rear parking sensors failed. 2. Reverse lights failed. 3. Gear selector screen on dash is blank at low speeds, and takes a few seconds to show gears on the move. My local dealer fixed it for me by re-calibrating the sensor.
